DAY 6-A lesson learned

So I learned a lesson in lighting yesterday. If you wait too long for the right light, the "golden" hour will in fact give your objects a gold or close to it look. I could see where this would be beneficial in some cases but in this one, it wasn't.  These photos are far from my favorites....sigh...oh well~

This is my daughter's necklace that she got for Christmas...her first. I liked the vibrancy of the colors and wanted to capture it. Our front room has a large window and I often use the light from it for my photos. I waited until after 4 and because of the low light I had to bump my ISO up to 800. So I got a picture that has lots of noise and kind of a weird light to it. At least in my opinion...

This is her first bracelet. Same problems...it might have been better for me to use a flash even though it would have caused harsh shadows. In route from Amazon are some reflectors. I hope that this will also help with the problem.
